While reviewing the applications for the Lightning Incubator, the team realized that there were a lot of good, profitable ideas that did not meet high standards for the Lightning Incubator. Many of these projects would provide a lot of value for investors, but they weren’t as unique as we would like. Further, many of these projects were almost ready to launch, but they did not have the resources to do it independently. Providing our services only to the highest quality projects seemed to miss many opportunities for our investors.
We present the Lightning Cross-Chain Launchpad for all blockchains to provide Light holders with more investment opportunities, even on the riskier side. The Launchpad is for non-incubated IDOs. These non-incubated IDOs will be distinctly separated from Lightning-Incubated projects and will not take anything away from the plans to release high-quality incubated projects.
In the early stages, every new chain is riddled with rugs and low-quality projects. We hope to improve the experience by making the space safer through our services. Our Launchpad IDOs require audits and locked liquidity, as a minimum. We do not provide these projects with the same perks that incubated projects receive. As such, we cannot assure the quality of the long-term project plans. The Lightning Launchpad is more suited for those with a higher risk tolerance so they can take calculated risk however they see fit, whilst ensuring security and protection from potentially malicious actors.
Light holder benefits of non-incubated Launchpad IDOs:
- Early access to IDOs
- IDO token airdrops for gold and diamond tier holders, respectively
- 2-round presale:
- Round 1: $LIGHT holders
- Round 2: Public Presale
- Secure IDOs through locked liquidity and mandatory audits
Essentially, $LIGHT investors have exclusive access to all non-incubated IDOs during the first round of the sale respective to their tiers contribution sizes. If the IDO doesn’t reach the hard cap during that initial period, round 2 opens and anyone can contribute.
Airdrops are conducted in the same manner as they are for Lightning Incubated IDOs. This means that 1% of the supply of every IDO will be airdropped to $LIGHT holders who qualify for the gold and diamond tier, in proportion to their holdings.
We are filling the unserved need for secure IDOs and Stealth Launches through the Lightning Cross-Chain Launchpad for non-incubated IDOs. Whilst serving the IDO experience across all blockchains and solving some of its problems, we also give $LIGHT holders the opportunity to invest in the non-incubated IDOs before the public can. We are anticipating that many non-incubated IDOs will conclude by meeting the hard cap during the 1st round. Furthermore, $LIGHT holders who qualify for gold and diamond tier will receive airdrops very frequently, due to the nature of openness that our Cross-Chain Launchpad provides.
Cross Chain Proof of Concept for Non-Incubated IDOs: PolyMoon
In our commitment to creating exceptionally safe, innovative, and valuable projects, the Lightning Team is pleased to announce our involvement in the $PolyMoon project on the Polygon network. It is important to note that this announcement will advertise the project to Light investors. As such, we have included minimal project details at the bottom of the article. Instead, we intend to offer full transparency behind the reasoning that inspired the execution of this proof of concept.
Commitment to Safe Projects
It is no secret that the Lightning team has lofty aspirations for innovating the DeFi environment and nurturing blockchain adoption. This dream requires the team to seize opportunities and take gambles when the universe bestows them. Sometimes these opportunities bring substantial risks and need to be thoroughly examined before publicly pursuing them. We felt that quietly launching a project on the Polygon network fit this situation. The Polygon Network draws many parallels with the early-January Binance Smart Chain, including a lot of uncertainty and insufficient services like dependable charting tools. The Lightning team recognizes the immense trust that our investors place in our care, and we take this very seriously.
Commitment to Value
We initially set out to navigate the difficulties of using the Matic network to confirm that it was worthwhile to adopt for future Lightning cross-chain advancements. PolyMoon drastically exceeded our expectations. The project is only two days old, and it has already grown substantially. While the project’s success is incredible, the Matic network’s infrastructure presents many frustrating challenges. We have worked nonstop to troubleshoot errors, establish transaction guides, and iron out the challenges we encountered. Light investors should have a better experience with the platform if an IDO chooses to launch on this network leveraging our resources. We hope that this adds exceptional value and smooths the process for Light investors to take the leap if it suits their risk tolerance. Matic is risky, but being an early investor in the space provides unimaginable rewards. This environment needs trust, and we hope to provide it for projects that use the Lightning Launchpad and the Lightning Incubator.
Lightning is a pioneer in the space, and sometimes that means we must take calculated, strategic risks to capture emerging markets. Each chain has its quirks, and we wanted to dive in to figure things out before risking investors’ funds.
The scientific method taught us the necessity of constraining variables to preserve the integrity of the experience. SafeMoon was a wildly successful project on BSC, and we wanted to launch a token that wasn’t so complex that it stole prioritization over Lightning. Since we were evaluating the platform, we wanted to use a project with a history of success, but we did not want the team’s reputation to skew the results favorably. For this reason, we stayed anonymous and didn’t tell anyone. We wanted to confirm that the Matic network provided enough value on its own accord to substantiate our efforts of introducing cross-chain capabilities. We used a few of our network connections like promoters but did not involve Value DeFi, CertiK, CoinGecko, or CoinMarketCap. Further, we did not want to subject investors to risks without assessing them first.
What did PolyMoon Achieve?
PolyMoon’s achievement is a really good proof of concept for non-incubated IDOs because it shows how successful a small project can be when they gain access to resources like our promoters and marketers at a cost. Incubated IDOs stand to gain much better results than PolyMoon because they receive access to an array of hand-selected, industry-leading connections and resources.

We chose PolyMoon because we wanted a proof of concept for our cross-chain Launchpad IDOs. We received so much more, and we hope to share this value with Lightning investors.
